This is my eyebrow routine and tutorial for my struggle, barely there, thin and sparse brows. I’ll be showing you two methods, one using a brow pomade and the other using a brow pencil. This method is great for all skin tones including dark skin.

My thoughts on some of the newer products I used:
I really loved the NYX Tame and Frame Tinted Brow Pomade, it is my new go to brow pomade. I found that it was dark enough for my dark skin tone and showed up great. It glided on smoothly and stayed in place in all day. Compared to the Ardell Brow Pomade, this was a way better. I also think the NYX Pomade is a great dupe for the ABH Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade. They worked in the exact same way. I was a little dissapointed in the NYX MicroBrow Pencil, it simply wasn’t dark enough or pigmented enough to really show up on my skin.

Hi loves, welcome to me channel. Today I’m going to be showing you my easy eyebrow routine. I’m going to show you how I fill in, clean up and basically do my brows. This is my brow routine whenever I wear makeup. Its what I do when I want snatched, fleeky, slay-rific brows. I don’t have thick brows at all, so this is something that I have to do if I want to look like I have any sort of eyebrows.
I’m going to be showing you two methods, one method I’m going to be using an eyebrow pomade and the other I’m going to be using an eyebrow pencil. I’ll be using just 5 items to create these brows and that includes the tools as well. For the tools, you’re going to need a spooly, and an angle brush. For the products, you’re going to need a brow pomade or eyebrow pencil in a color of your choice. You’re also gonna need a concealer, and you’re gonna need some mascara. Now, some people can get away with using just one color brow pomade, Personally I need to use two colors, one that’s lighter and one that’s darker. One last thing, this process is a whole lot easier if you’re Browns are already tweezed and cleaned up in the shape that you like. So, that’s enough chitchat let’s get started.
So, we’re going to begin by grabbing a spooly and brushing our brow hairs up in the direction that they naturally go. So, to determine the shape of your brow, you want to line up the front of your brow to your inner eye corner, you want to line up the arch of your brow to the center of your eye and you want to line up the tail of your brow to the outside corner of your eye.
I’m going to be using the NYX tinted brow pomade, an angle brush and I’m going to apply just a little bit of the brow pomade to the angle brush. I’m going to start by drawing the outline of the front of my brows. You don’t want to start right at the tip of your brows because that’s going to be too much product in the area where you want the least amount of product. What I like to do first is draw the outline of the brows where there is hair, fill it in and then move on to the tail of my brow.
You want to fill in your brows using short hair like strokes, you don’t want to just paint it in, you want to do it gently. You also want to use just a little bit of product at a time. It’s much easier to build up a brow than it is to take away way too much product. You’ll notice that the tail of my brow appears lighter than the rest of my brow and thats because there’s hardly any hair in that area. So, to counteract that I’m going to take a darker eyebrow pomade and I’m going to fill in the tail of my brow. And I’m dragging a little bit of that darker color towards the front of my brow, but not too much, just enough so that it creates a gradient effect.
So here you can see the difference between the filled in brow and the brow that has not been filled in. Moving on to the next brow, I’m going to show you a different method using an eyebrow pencil. For this side I’m going to be using the NYX micro brow pencil. And I’m just basically going to follow the same method using short hair like strokes to create a line on the bottom first, then I’m going to create a line on the top, and then I’m going to fill in the brow and then I’m going to move on to the tail end of my brow. Once the brow has been filled in, I’m going to brush through the brows using a spooly just to make sure that all the color is dispersed and isn’t just sitting on top of the brow. I went in with a darker brow pencil and focused most of the color on the tail end of my brow, but I also took a little bit of that color through the brow as well. So now I’m just going back-and-forth with both pencils to create a nice color and to create a gradient effect.
Once I feel that the brow has a nice shape, I’m going to move on to cleaning up the brows and sharpening the brows up. To do that I’m going to be taking my LA girl pro concealer in the color fawn as well as an angle brush. If you’re going to be using the same angle brush you used for the pomade just make sure you clean it really well. I’m going to take a little bit of that concealer on my angle brush and I’m just going to go beneath the brow, cleaning it up and sharpening the brow. You only want to take a little bit of product at a time and you always want to start away from the front of the brow because that’s where you want the least amount of product. This applies to when you’re using the pomade as well as when you are using concealer. And then I’m just going to blend that out using the angle brush as well as my finger.
So now I’m doing the same thing on the other eye. I’m applying the concealer, I’m dragging it down using the angle brush and then I’m blending it out with my finger as well as with the brush. I making sure to follow the shape that I already created. To clean up the top of my brows I’m gonna be using another LA girl Pro concealer in the color chestnut. It’s a lot easier to blend out if you use a concealer that matches your skin tone perfectly. I’m gonna follow the same routine I used for the bottom of my eyes. I’m going to take a little bit of that concealer on the angle brush. And I’m just going to trace my brows following the outline of the brows that I’ve already created. And for the top of your brows you really only need a little bit of concealer.
Now, you could totally stop here as you can see the eyebrows look really good. But, I’m going to take it one step further and I’m going to apply a bit of black mascara to my eyebrow hairs. This makes them appear realer, it makes them appear more hair like, and it makes them appear more natural. And there you have it guys, the eyebrows are complete. These are natural looking brows. All right my loves, that completes the eyebrow routine. Let me know in the comments below which brow you liked better, was it the pomade brow or was it the brow with the eye pencil.
